The engine cut out and I was able to coast to a safe place. The AA came out (I have had the car 6 months so have Land Rover assistance still, thankfully!) and checked the codes as attached. He cleared them, started up again and only P062D showed. We were able to start the car for maybe 5-10 seconds at a time before it cut out again. I am getting the following engine misfire codes: i P0300 - random misfire. ii P0301 Cylinder 1. iii. P0303 Cylinder 3. iV. P0305 Cyliner 5. Apart from that I am also getting P1472 (VIS motor 2) which leads to lean air fuel mixture. I changed spark plugs on LH (front) side. Make Model: Land Rover. Whist out driving on Saturday we experienced a “critical warning” message appear on the message centre. The car then displayed a “restricted performance” message and immediately went into limp mode.
Seconded on the diagnostics.. TD5 is not OBD compliant for your diagnostic port so you need to spend the money on Nanocom, Hawkeye or lynx to read faults and correct them. 2 visits to a main-stealer will cost the same I expect so get your own. Then you’ll most likely have your codes and then your reason for the problems.
I had the codes: P0112, P0102, P1412, P1415, P1884. But after i did a few things they went off except for P1884. The truck is running great now, i had a hose that was loose on the intake and another hose that came off, i put them back on and tightened the clamp and the car runs great.
