written by tractor lad on 28/01/2009. THE CAR - is a 2000 5dr Yreg punto basic 1.2 8v, it has done under 70,000miles with 2 lady owners. USED FOR - it was used first for town driving, but then, motorway journeys, covering 120miles a day and it was starting to take its toll on the vehicle, ie. it was burning oil, starting to rattle etc.

Mar 5, 2004. #6. I started having to top up at around 40k. Before that I never needed to. I also religously change the oil every 10k with various brands of synthetic oil. This time I topped it off right to the max line and recorded the mileage so at least I'll have an acurate measure of what's happening. C.
